Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data Pitchsense (pitchsense.fun), operated by Pitchsense, collects and how we use it. We have designed the Service to collect as little personal data as possible — there are no user accounts.
1. What we collect
- Payment data (via Stripe). When you pay, Stripe processes your card and billing details. We never receive or store your card number. We can see limited transaction information (amount, status, and an unlock code we attach to the payment). Stripe acts as an independent controller of your payment data under its own privacy policy.
- Unlock codes and device tokens. We store the unlock code associated with a payment so we can verify access. A signed "device token" is stored in your browser's local storage to remember that you have unlocked. These are not linked to your name.
- Technical data. Our server temporarily processes your IP address to apply rate limits and protect the Service from abuse. Our hosting and network providers may keep standard server logs.
- We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use browser local storage only to remember your unlock and the fixture you were viewing — not to track you across sites.
2. How we use it
We use this data only to: process your payment, grant and verify your unlock, enforce the device limit, prevent abuse, and operate and improve the Service. We do not sell your data.
3. Third parties we rely on
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Hugging Face — application hosting.
- Cloudflare — DNS, routing, and security for the domain.
- News publishers (e.g. BBC, Sky Sports, The Guardian) — we display their public headlines and link to their sites; visiting those links is subject to their own privacy policies.
4. Data retention
We keep unlock/payment records for as long as needed to provide access and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Server logs and rate-limit data are short-lived. Local storage stays in your browser until you clear it.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict its processing. Because we do not hold accounts, we may need information such as your payment reference or unlock code to locate your records. To make a request, contact spnittes@gmail.com. You may also clear your local data at any time through your browser settings.
6. Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
7. Changes
We may update this policy; changes take effect when posted here with a new "last updated" date.
